Clinical & Community Engagement
- Life Fellow Member of the Indian Psychiatric Society and Indian Medical Association; Life Member of Pune Psychiatric Association; Founder Life Member of Psychodermatology Association of India.
- Attended various local, zonal, and national conferences as a delegate and faculty, and participated in workshops on teaching technology, research methodology, cognitive behavior therapy, NIH grantsmanship, etc.
- Undertook visits for providing professional mental health support to schools and special schools for children with intellectual disability and physical handicaps.
- Worked as faculty for Basic Medical Education Technology (MET) workshops at SKN Medical College.
- Conducted stress management workshops for students of various colleges.
- Organized “Communication Skills Workshop” for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Organized a workshop on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in 2012 and a virtual workshop on “Handling Emotional Storms in Patient Care” on 5th August 2021.
- Served as Organizing Secretary for the 2nd Annual Conference of the Research Society of SKNMC on the theme “Mind Body Medicine and Beyond” in 2021.
- Served as Organizing Chairman for the workshop on Transactional Analysis, PG CME (Western Zone), Indian Psychiatric Society, 2024.
- Initiated Psychodermatology services in liaison with the Dermatology Department.
- Delivered a speech on International Suicide Prevention Day in the Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology OPDs on 10th September 2025.
- Organized World Mental Health Day program and delivered the introductory address on 10th October 2025.

- Total teaching experience: 26 years and 11 months.
- Mentored 3rd-year MBBS students for participation in a Psychiatry Quiz; the team secured first place at the Pune regional level.
- Guided an intern for poster presentation at SymPsych (Rajeshwari Kalla).
- Delivered a lecture in the Foundation Course on Emotional Intelligence.
- SymPsych paper presentation: First prize won by a postgraduate student (co-author) from the earlier institute (SKN Medical College).

- Recipient of Teachers’ Fellowship from MUHS for the research project titled “A Study of Patients with Major Depressive Disorder with Atypical Features” (2012).
- Successfully completed the above project and published two research articles based on the study.
