The Department of Medicine in Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Pune established in July 2019. Department is committed to give excellence in education, innovation and research. It aspires to become leaders for change in health outcomes in the general population. Dr. Priti Dave
MBBS, MD, Medicine
MBBS, MD, General Medicine, FRCP Glasgow, Distant certificate course in Diabetology, MV Mohan institute of Diabetology.
Dr. Priti Dave has obtained her MBBS degree from Government Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She has obtained her MD General Medicine degree from Government Shyam Shah Medical College, Madhya Pradesh. She has completed her BCBR, Basic course in Medical education and Curriculum implementation support programme from NMC regional center at MUHS, Nashik. Presently She is serving as Professor and Head of the Department, General Medicine at Symbiosis Medical College for Women at Pune.
Experience
She is a dedicated and passionate educator with 28 years of postgraduate and 25 years of undergraduate teaching experience. She has guided more than 18 postgraduate students in their dissertations and holds extensive experience in OPD and IPD patient care. Her leadership roles include serving as Chairperson of the Local Inspection Committee appointed by MUHS, Nashik. Deeply committed to research, she actively encourages students to explore and engage in scholarly work. She has contributed to the formulation of the STP for PHCs for the Maharashtra Government. She has been active member of several committees including Ethical, Curriculum Implementation, Anti-Ragging, and Infection Control Committees in present and previous institutes. She has been Convener for Post graduate & Under graduate examinations as internal & external examiner.
Awards and Achievements
Cleared her BCBR Exam & have done BCME, & CISP workshop at NMC regional centre MUHS, Nashik. She is BLS and ACLS certified provider. Attended many conferences as chairperson and delegate. Was vertical head for a summer internship programme, Cardiology in day to day practise run by MUHS, Nashik

She has more than 30 Publications including original articles, review articles and case reports in various journals
Outreach activity:
Arranged many outreach activities for benefit of local communities. She also has given many awareness talks for patients.

OPD Complex
It includes Computerized reception desk, patient seating area with LED screen, 4 patient examination rooms, X-ray viewing box and HMIS facility. Fully equipped dressing rooms one each for males and females. Clinical demonstration room with seating arrangement for 25 students, whiteboard and examination bed.
Inpatient Department
2 spacious and well ventilated wards for male medical patients with bed strength of 24 each and 1 ward for female medical patients with bed strength of 24 with attached examination and procedure rooms for each ward with patient examination bed and dressing trolley.
