The department of Otorhinolaryngology is one of the most well-equipped department situated on the 5th floor of building 3 of Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Lavale. Our speciality involves medical and surgical management of patients. Thus, we promote our students to inculcate the basic concepts related to E.N.T. healthcare.
To excel as a premier educational hub in Otorhinolaryngology, equipping undergraduate students at SMCW with a profound understanding and comprehensive skills in ENT healthcare and surgical management. We are committed to fostering a learning environment that emphasizes both foundational knowledge and innovative practices.

He has over 35 years of working experience in academics, teaching, research and hospital administration. He has PG teaching experience in the field of Otorhinolaryngology of 15 Years. He has worked as Commandant & Director of Base Hospital, Lucknow for 2 years. He has worked as Director with 4 static Military Hospitals and 7 Field Hospitals in Punjab & Haryana region under his administration for 2 years.He has trained post graduate students for National Board Examinations since 2003 and has also been an examiner in ENT and assessor for accreditation of centers for National Board programs.
He has published more than 19 papers in various National and International journals
Occupying the spacious, well-lit fifth floor of Building 3 at Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Lavale, our Department of Otorhinolaryngology provides an ideal learning and clinical environment that adheres to the highest standards of medical education and patient care.
Our department boasts a state-of-the-art library and seminar room, equipped with the latest editions of textbooks, reference books, and access to leading medical journals. This resource center supports both the educational needs of our students and the research endeavors of our faculty.
The ENT Outpatient Department (OPD) is strategically situated on the lower ground floor of Building 2, featuring three examination rooms, a minor procedures room, and specialized areas for audiometry and speech therapy. This setup facilitates an efficient flow and privacy for patient consultations and treatments.
The Inpatient Department (IPD) caters to the needs of our patients requiring hospitalization with separate wards for male and female patients, each equipped with a demonstration room for students, a nursing station, doctor’s duty room, pantry, and linen room, ensuring comprehensive patient care and student training.
Our operation theatre is at the cutting edge of medical technology, outfitted with advanced microscopes and the necessary tools for major ENT surgeries, conforming to the norms set by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

We offer a full spectrum of services for routine examinations and management of ENT and Head & Neck diseases. Our department is committed to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a patient-centered environment.
Our Inpatient Department (IPD) accommodates patients requiring continuous monitoring, intravenous treatments, or surgical interventions. The Outpatient Department (OPD) is equipped for routine assessments and minor procedures, ensuring efficient and comprehensive care.
Equipped with modern facilities, our surgical teams perform both major and minor ENT procedures, adhering to the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence. Our operation theatres are designed to support a range of surgeries from routine to complex.
We provide a comprehensive array of diagnostic tests, including Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA), Impedance Audiometry, Oto-acoustic Emissions, Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA), and Speech Therapy to accurately assess and treat auditory and speech-related conditions.
Our department ensures 24-hour availability of qualified ENT specialists to handle urgent care and emergencies, providing timely and effective interventions.
Dedicated to enhancing community health, our department regularly conducts outreach programs focusing on the prevention and education of common ENT diseases. These initiatives help in raising awareness and promoting health in the broader community.

Admissions to SMCW are conducted strictly in accordance with the regulations and guidelines prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), MCC, and the competent regulatory authorities.
