Obstetrics and Gynecology is the multispecialty that encompasses two subspecialties of Obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period) and Gynecology (covering the health of female reproductive system- vagina, uterus, ovaries and breasts).

Name:- Dr. Neelesh Risbud
  Qualification:- MBBS, MD, DGO, DNB, FRCOG

Dr. Neelesh Risbud obtained his MBBS and MD (Obstetrics and Gynecology) degrees from Seth G. S. Medical college and KEM hospital, one of the premier institutes for medical education.

Experience:

Dr. Risbud has 20 years of teaching experience in various MCI recognised medical college. He also was an Academic Lead at Royal college of surgeons in Ireland medical school at KualaLumpur.

Achievements:

Dr. Neelesh Risbud is a Member and Fellow of the prestigious Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK.

Dr. Risbud has been the PG guide for many M.S. (Obstetrics and Gynecology) students.

Paper Publications::

Dr. Risbud has 10 publications in MCI approved national journals.

Infrastructure facilities


The department of OBGY has a various sections to cater to clinical services and teaching area. It is equipped with traditional as well as innovative and modern teaching aids. The outpatient department (OPD) has 12 rooms for patient examination and teaching purpose. Antenatal care, post-partum care, Family Welfare services, Cancer screening and Infertility are the sub speciality services offered here.

There are two wards dedicated to serve admitted patients. State of the art labour room and adjacent operation theatre provide maternity services round the clock.

The department has demo rooms adjacent to OPD, wards and at the office of the department of OBGY for tutorials and lecture cum demonstration.

The department has a library with books covering regular undergraduate teaching as well as higher studies and research in various related fields.
