STRAY VACANCY ROUND COUNSELING
UG - MEDICAL (MBBS) ADMISSIONS 2020

SYMBIOSIS MEDICAL COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (SMCW) (FOR UNFILLED GENERAL/ NRI SEATS)

Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune invites online applications from all eligible candidates to fill up vacant seat(s) against General/ NRI Category for admission to MBBS Programme at Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW), Pune for the Academic Year 2020-21.

1. Vacancies of MBBS Programme for Admission in the Academic Year 2020-21 are as below:

Note: There is a possibility of conversion of Vacant NRI category seat to GENERAL (merit) category, if such seats remain vacant on 12-01-2021 at 5.00 P.M.

2. Admission will be done on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidates whose names are published by MCC/ DGHS on their website and declared as eligible for Stray Vacancy Round.
3. The vacant General Category Seat(s) will be filled from General Merit List on 12-01-2021 at 11.00 A.M. For those seat(s) filled from General Category under the Stray Vacancy Round(s), the academic fees shall be as prescribed for the General Category in the SMCW Prospectus 2020-21.
4. The vacant NRI Seat(s) will be filled with NRI or NRI sponsored candidates. As per Supreme Court Judgment dated 22-08-2017 in W.P 689/2017, NRI quota includes Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO). 
1. For those seat(s) filled from NRI (NRI/ PIO/ OCI) Category under the Stray Vacancy Round(s), on 12-01-2021 at 11.00 A.M. the academic fees shall be as prescribed in the SMCW Prospectus 2020-21.
2. For those unfilled NRI vacant seat(s), which will be converted to General Category seats the academic fees shall be as prescribed for the General Category.
5. Candidates who desire to take admission at Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW) against these vacancies, must apply online at www.smcw.edu.in (https://siu.ishinfo.com/SMCW/Register/)
6. The Schedule of the Stray Vacancy Round at SMCW will be as follows:

7. Selected candidates must report at Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW), Gram.: Lavale, Tal.: Mulshi, Dist.: Pune-412115 at the scheduled time and date as mentioned in para 6 above. Candidates reporting after the scheduled date and time will not be entertained under any circumstances.
8. Candidate seeking provisional admission shall submit requisite fees along with original document(s) and two sets (duly attested), as prescribed for General/ NRI Category by DGHS/ MCC/ SMCW/ SIU (https://smcw.edu.in/admissions) on scheduled date and time. Candidates who have applied in response to the notice dated 22.12.2020 NEED NOT apply again.
9. The physical presence of the selected candidate along with original documents is mandatory for admission process. Please note that only one parent will be allowed to enter in the admission counselling hall with the selected candidate.
10. Selected candidates will be required to pay prescribed fees in the form of Demand Draft(s) only in favour of Symbiosis Medical College for Women payable at Pune.
11. Any candidate who furnishes wrong/ false information will be disqualified and is liable for legal action.
12. All admissions are provisional and are subject to fulfilment of all the eligibility criteria as per MCC/ DGHS/ NMC. If any candidate fails to fulfil the criteria, her admission will be cancelled without any prior notice.
13. All candidates must be registered with DGHS/MCC, and their names must appear in the list published by MCC for Stray Vacancy round in order to become eligible for the admission. Candidates whose names do not appear in the DGHS/ MCC list (Stray vacancy round) will NOT be allowed admission at SMCW, Pune.
14. Seats remaining vacant after completion of admission round on 12-01-2021 at 05.00 P.M. will be declared on SMCW website on 12-01-2021 at 10.00 P.M. These vacant NRI seats will be now converted into management quota.
15. This revised merit list for allotment of NRI Vacant seats converted to General Category (Merit List C) will be declared on 12-01-2021 at 10.00 P.M. All these candidates should be present physically at SMCW for confirmation of their admission on 14-01-2021 at 11.00 A.M. All available seats will be allotted as per inter-se merit of physically present candidates at 11.00 AM. All admission formalities should be completed by 14-01-2021 before 05.00 P.M. No extension of time will be granted for any reason whatsoever.
