Vision & Mission

Biochemistry is a branch of medical science which describes the structure, organization and function of biomolecules at the molecular level. It is not only a preclinical subject taught to first MBBS but also very important in healthcare for diagnosis, prognosis & treatment of various diseases. It plays an important role in manufacture of various biological products. It provides good insight regarding pathophysiology of the various diseases. Biochemical aspects of nutrition play a special role in health & disease. The sound knowledge of biochemistry has revolutionized medical science by providing the tools like genetic engineering, PCR & many more.

  Vision
  • To be recognized as a centre of excellence for molecular diagnostics and innovative research in biochemistry.
Mission
  • To produce the Indian Medical Graduate with adequate knowledge of biochemistry with its applications in health and disease and research which will be useful for patients as well as for the community.
  • To ensure basic knowledge in medical biochemistry using competency based curriculum.
  • To provide understanding of various diseases at the molecular level.
  • To interpret various biochemical tests in correlation with different diseases.
  • To open doors for new knowledge through research in the field of Biochemistry.
  • To make students aware of the latest information in Biochemistry.
