The Department of Orthopaedics is situated on the 4th floor of the Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Lavale Hill-base Campus. The department contributes actively in the fields of education, research and service. The department is equipped to educate the Undergraduate & Post-graduate students.
We aim to provide best possible Orthopedics treatment to all the patients to uphold “Movement is life & life is movement” for all.

Dr. Deo got his MS Orthopaedics degree from Pune university in 2002 from Pravara institute of Medical Sciences and worked there as Assistant Professor till 2003.
He worked at D. Y. Patil Medical college from 2003 to 2005 and again from 2008-2022 as Associate Professor and Professor.
Dr. Deo also has a PG teacher experience since 2009. Postgraduate guide for multiple MS (Orthopaedics) students. Successfully mentored three Ph.D. students in orthopaedic research.
He has 22 Years of Teaching Experience.
Had published around 22 papers in various national and international orthopaedics journals.

It has come to the notice of Symbiosis Medical College for Women (SMCW), Pune, that certain unauthorized social media posts and advertisements are circulating online claiming to offer admissions to SMCW under NRI/Management quotas through third parties.
SMCW hereby clarifies that the advertisement currently being circulated is not issued, authorized, endorsed, or approved by SMCW or Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
SMCW does not authorize any individual, agent, consultant, or external agency to guarantee, facilitate, or secure admissions on its behalf.
Admissions to SMCW are conducted strictly in accordance with the regulations and guidelines prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), MCC, and the competent regulatory authorities.
All admission-related information, notifications, fee structures, and counseling procedures are communicated only through the official channels of SMCW and Symbiosis International (Deemed University).
Students, parents, and stakeholders are advised to:
