Department of Ophthalmology, SMCW conducted a comprehensive Ophthalmology Symposium for PG students on 21st April, 2024. Total 150 plus Delegates from 8 medical institutes attended the Program. The guiding talks were given by11 Eminent speakers. Dr. Shirish Shirole was an NMC observer. This was the first comprehensive learning event for PG students in Pune till date.

Labour room was inaugurated on 16th April, 2024 by Mrs. Aruna Katara, President Hope Foundation & Mr. Anil Wahibi, Director Finolex Pvt Ltd in virtual presence of Provost FoMHS & Mrs. Ritu Chabaria, Co-Founder & Managing Trustee - Mukul Madhav Foundation. They donated OT table, Labour table, Anesthesia machine, Multipara monitor & USG machine to SUHRC.

Dr. Rajesh Gokhale, Secretary, DBT, GOI visited Symbiosis Medical College for Women and Symbiosis University Hospital and Research Centre on 2nd April, 2024. Prof.Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Chancellor, SIU; Dr. R. Raman, Vice-Chancellor, SIU; Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Provost, FoMHS, SIU; Lt. Col. Dr. T. Vijayasagar, Dean, SMCW; Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar, Distinguished Professor, SIU and Directors of all research centres were present for the interaction.
